My Story
Born in the outskirts of Natal, Brazil , I, Rio Viana, like many others, had little knowledge about wines until I won a scholarship for an exchange program at Edinburgh College , from 2014 to 2015, where I had my first sommelier classes.
I hold an International Master's Degree in Wine, Tourism, and Innovation from the Université de Bordeaux, Universitat Rovira i Virgili, and University of Porto, I am also a certified Guide-Conférencier by the French state. My Bordeaux journey began in 2022, when, in the second stage of my master's degree, I fell in love with the city, its rich architecture, and its sumptuous wines.
My journey so far includes experiences at prestigious estates in Saint-Émilion, a Grand Cru Classé in Margaux, and the renowned Château Smith Haut Lafitte, elected as one of the top 10 châteaux in the world for wine tourism. I also had the opportunity to work for years at the iconic La Cité du Vin . And now through Bordeaux For All I have the pleasure of sharing this journey in the world capital of wine with all of you.
